Privacy policy
Last updated 17 October 2026. Team Ballr LTD, registered in Scotland, runs Ballr and decides how your data is used. This is what we keep, why, and who helps us.
The waitlist
- If you join the waitlist we keep your email, your role, your country and your city.
- We use them to email you once when Ballr opens in your city.
- No newsletter, and we never share your address.
Your account
- When you sign up we keep your name, email and date of birth, plus your mobile number, known-as name, home city, nationality, preferred foot and position if you give them.
- Once you play we also keep your places in games, clubs, results, votes and ratings.
- Your date of birth is never shown to other players or organisers.
- We never sell your data.
Why we use it
- To run your games: sign you in, hold and take match fees, and tell you about games you are in.
- To email or text you about your games. These are not marketing.
- To keep Ballr safe, stop fraud and fix faults.
- To keep records of money we handle, which the law requires.
Who helps us
- Amazon Web Services hosts Ballr and sends our email, in the UK.
- Stripe takes match fees and pays organisers. Ballr never sees your card number. Organisers give Stripe their identity and bank details.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with it, tells us your name and email.
How long we keep it
- Your details stay while your account is open.
- Records of match fees and payouts are kept for six years, because tax law requires it. After you delete your account they are held against an anonymous id.
- Backups expire on their own schedule.
Your rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account from your profile anonymises it.
- You can ask us to stop using your data in a way you object to.
- Email hello@ballr.uk and we will answer within a month.
- You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
